It’s no secret that 2020 has dealt some tough punches for all of us. The world is a very different place now, and it may seem a little hard to celebrate the holidays this year. Social distancing, masks, businesses shut down, a whole pandemic, and some huge losses have seemed to be the new normal. I also had some health news that was not fun to hear, but I am coming up with a plan. This year was a lot.
One thing that changed for me was going out and living by myself for the first time. It was a real adjustment, but I am really thankful that I have friends and family who have supported this journey and continue to inspire me everyday. I had to move twice, figure out how to be in a house by myself (I didn’t use to like things too quiet), and cooking for one (I’m still getting used to this one.
I am grateful that I still had a job to go to, I now like sitting in the quiet sometimes, and I am hopeful for the new year and all the newness it will bring (I’m being optimistic here). I also am excited that I got to decorate my new space for Christmas, which is my favorite time of year!
I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas and Happy 2021! *cheers*
